How do I order?
Browse by size from the homepage (Newborn, 0–3 months, etc.) and choose your favourite cardigan. Select your embroidery colour, add the name, and add to basket. Available items are ready to personalise and will show as in stock.
Can I send my own knit to you?
Yes — I offer a send-in personalisation service for knitwear you already own. It's a popular choice for grandparent-knitted cardigans, heirlooms, and shop-bought knits you'd love to make extra special.
I love working on hand knitted items and can also embroider suitable shop-bought knits. The fabric must have some stretch and not be too delicate, as I need to pass a needle through it without snagging. If you're unsure, feel free to message me before sending.
Where do you deliver to?
I currently deliver to mainland UK (England, Scotland and Wales).
Due to GPSR regulations, I'm unable to sell or ship to Ireland (including Northern Ireland) at this time. I also do not currently ship internationally.
What is your turnaround time?
Orders are usually dispatched within 2–7 days. During busier periods (such as Christmas and new baby season) please allow up to 10 days. All orders are shipped via Royal Mail Tracked so you can follow your parcel every step of the way.
What size should I choose?
Sizes are based on standard baby age ranges (e.g. Newborn, 0–3 months). If you're buying as a newborn baby gift and unsure, 0–3 months is often a safer choice than newborn.

Are your cardigans made to order?
All cardigans are already hand knitted and in stock, then hand embroidered with your chosen name after ordering — this keeps turnaround times quick. If you're looking for a specific colour or style not currently listed, contact me to discuss made-to-order options.
Are your cardigans one of a kind?
Many of the cardigans I stock are individual pieces, meaning once they're gone, they're gone. New styles are added regularly. A few of my styles are repeated.
Is there a limit on name length?
I don't charge per letter, but longer names do take significantly more time to embroider. Once a name is over 9 characters an additional charge is applied to reflect the extra time involved. This isn't for the final letter — it's for the whole name once it crosses that threshold. Please consider cardigan size too for what will fit!
Where will the name be embroidered?
For jumpers, the name is embroidered on the back as standard. If you would prefer it on the front, just leave a note at checkout.
If no preference is given, I will default to placing the name on the back.
Can I return a personalised item?
As each item is personalised to order, returns are not accepted unless there is a fault. If you have any concerns, see returns policy for further information.please get in touch and I'll always do my best to help.
How will my order be packaged?
Every order from Little Name Knits arrives packaged in a box with tissue paper as standard — because we know many of our cardigans are given as gifts and its also a better option environmentally. You can also upgrade to decorative gift wrap and add a hand written gift card at checkout. No pricing is ever included, so orders can be sent straight to the recipient.
Do you offer gift options?
Absolutely — these make the most beautiful baby shower, new baby, and coming home gifts! Every order is sent in a box with tissue paper as standard — no extra charge. For something extra special, you can add decorative gift wrap and a hand written mini gift card at checkout. No pricing information is ever included in parcels, making them perfect to send direct to the recipient.
